Collage elements layering & composition.
Refer to the video tutorial to start doing your collage.

Project 1A: Collage Design Elements

  • Choose and identify your collage's design elements to be cut out and compose it into your own concept & story.
  • Re-compositing your collage's design elements into a composition.
Out of all the compositions, I prefer the third one because it has a clear focus and the heel is emphasized. Overall, the composition looks well put together.

Reflection

I created a concept based on the elements I had cut out, which was "change/transformation". It took me a few tries to get the composition right, I had to look from far away to gauge if it was working. It was fun to rifle through magazines and brochures to look for random pictures/words that would look good in a collage.
