Reflection

Experience
I learned a lot during this advanced typography, compared to typography it felt more hands-on and very much a rush to complete assignments. Starting the final assignment, I understood why we rushed through the first assignments, the extra time gave me some much-needed breathing room. In task 1 I was still trying to find my footing, but by task 2 I was able to work past challenges and make more accurate design choices. In my final task, I felt more grounded during the design process. I was able to learn many things while building my own font and hope to continue learning.

Observation
Compared to last semester, I'm able to make more keen observations on my own work and refine it accordingly. Although there are times when I face challenges on the direction to take. Especially in Task 2, when I found myself producing many iterations of the Instagram layout. It took a lot of tries to get something I was satisfied with and something that looked good in a social media format. The process did push me to observe my work more and be able to critique myself.

Finding.
I found that during this module I was able to face issues that arose and problem-solve accordingly. I was able to better pace my progress and meet my weekly progress deadlines. Typography was a subject I struggled with in certain areas so coming into advanced typography I was skeptical whether I could continue to submit good work, but I was able to learn a lot through it and have really improved my design techniques and time management.
